Directed by the totally rad Roy Sydiaha, our righteous band and chorus are stoked to the max. We’ll be re-igniting that 80s flame with mega-hits from all of our favourite artists. Are you amped to find out if the bangin’ hits you loved will be featured? Hop on our time machine and enjoy our gnarly 80s flashback featuring hits from Madonna, Queen, Cyndi Lauper, and more!

Let it be Christmas with Eclipse! Better than a mug of hot apple cider and a sugar cookie snuggled up by the fireplace, Eclipse Chorus’s 13th annual holiday concert is sure to warm your heart. Join us at the Broadway Theatre December 11th, 2016 at 7:30 pm for a smorgasbord of traditional, country and pop music. This year we feature special guest artists Byron Olsen and Lana Quinn. Send your spirit soaring with selections such as “Above the Northern Lights” by Chip Davis/Ed Wilson/Penny Rosten, “Sparkle” by Andrea Menard/Robert Walsh, and “This Christmas” by Kelly Prescott.

This spring Eclipse rekindles the musical fires of the Doo-wap era, Elvis, the Age of Aquarius, the Beatles and many other favorites from the 50’s and 60’s. Come join the retro fun at the Broadway Theatre. Can you dig it?  Let it all hang out…be cool, dress up and really get in the spirit. Resurrect your poodle skirts, flat tops, mop tops, grannie glasses, tie-dyes and Afros. Be there or be square!  We guarantee you’ll be “Feelin’ Groovy!”

This year we’ve added some country flavor to our repertoire of traditional, original, gospel and pop music. John Denver’s “Take Me Home Country Roads” and LeAnn Rimes’ “Put a Little Holiday in Your Heart” are among the new selections in our holiday buffet of songs and surprises. Joining us this year are special guest artists Scott Patrick and Daniel Fortier of the country rock band Wyatt.

Tisdale Concert, Saturday April 25, 2015

What better way to spend a spring evening than listening to the upbeat sound of Eclipse Chorus! We’re off to Tisdale, Saskatchewan to sing an upbeat medley of jazz, rock and pop tunes, accompanied by our smokin’ hot band.   We are ready to rock the stage, Tisdale, so come on out!

Yorkton, Here We Come!!!

Yorkton PicEclipse will be rocking the stage in Yorkton, Saskatchewan on January 13, 2015 as part of the Stars for Saskatchewan Concert Series hosted by the Yorkton Arts Council.  With songs ranging from classic southern gospel to modern singer-songwriter, Eclipse carries a message of hope, faith and love that will warm your heart while keeping your toes tapping and hands clapping.   And to make sure that you have a really great time, Eclipse is singing with its stage band, adding sizzle to its sound.

So stare winter down by bundling up, grabbing your family and friends, shoveling your way out to your vehicle, and meeting us in Yorkton at the Anne Portnuff Theatre, Yorkton Regional High School,  on January 13, 2015.   What a great way to start off the New Year!

Eclipse 10th Anniversary Spring Concert, Saturday May 10th

Our anniversary show hits a variety of Eclipse’s musical highlights from the past ten years, with arrangements by current and past directors and accompanists Roy Sydiaha, Wes Froese, BJ Harris, Penny Rosten and the compositions of well-known local and internationally renowned musicians Angie Tysseland, Eileen Laverty, Burton Cummings, Trooper, Ray Charles, The Rankin Family, Marvin Gaye, Billy Joel and more.

Artistic Director Roy Sydiaha conducts the 30 voices of Eclipse, and cues our smokin’ band of seasoned musicians: Don Tatchell on drums, Jack Tatchell on trumpet, Bruce Wilkinson on bass, Michael Lander on guitar, Wes Froese on keyboard.

Special guest Ken Marco has helped to shape the evolution of the North American pop music scene.He is an original member of both Motherlode and Dr. Music and twice a guitarist with David Clayton-Thomas bands including Blood Sweat and Tears and Sanctuary: a first prize winner of Rio De Janerio’s Song Festival in Brazil. Kenny has recorded with Etta James, Moe Koffman, and Rick James among many; while Kenny’s songs have been recorded by Money Boss Players and Quincy Jones. Kenny has graced the live stages of big International and American pop festivals, as well as appearing with television icons Johnny Carson, Dick Cavett and Henry Mancini. Eclipse is enormously excited to be sharing the stage with Kenny!!

We’re looking back, but we’re also looking ahead. Eclipse is a resilient, vibrant and joyful community of singers and musicians whose passion for energetic and engaging concert experiences lifts the spirits of patrons and performers alike. Joining us are band members Wes Froese, Bruce Wilkinson, and Rick Van Dusen.

The concert is December 1, 2013, 7:30 at the Broadway Theatre in Saskatoon.  Tickets are $20 per person, and can be purchased in advance from the Broadway Theatre box office or any group member.
